100 to Bankroll

I added funds to my bankroll last night, US$100, but converted to NZ$75-ish. I'll add another hundred next payday.

I did not get to play last night and the night before. I was able to set up my pt4 hud the other night. Last night, I tweaked the autohotkey script with the pokerstars hotkeys. I am using joy2key. The close tables function is not working. I am going to work on that tonight. Soon as I get that up and running, I can start doing four table play.

I am looking into the possibility of playing live at the Auckland Sky Tower casino. I remember seeing a poker room in there a year ago. They probably have them still, I'll go take a look on my day off tomorrow or friday. I read on the internet that it's pretty soft at the lower stakes. I'm not sure I'm ready to play now.

In case I don't make it past the temp period at work, at least I have a fallback--play poker, trade fx, and internet marketing. It don't take much to fund these businesses. What's great about them is that these can run by itself with good marketing.

Fun times coming up in 2015.

First Day of Play in 2014

I only played one table at a time, must have been two hours, maybe less. I was setting up the interface to suit my play, both on the pokerstars client and the pokectracker 4. Here's how I fared last night (bb/100):

I forgot/lost my old hud settings so I am starting from scratch. I also need to do the autohotkey script so I can use the pokerstars game hotkeys and joy2key. I'll do that next tonight.

There's only about $4.50 in my bankroll. This is enough for one table. I'll add a hundred when I have everything set up for multi-table play. I'm thinking of adding at least a hundred every two weeks. At the end of the year, bankroll would be about $2600.

Back and Building Up My Bankroll

I have a job--a regular nine to five job working sales at a call center.

I am not excited about it. I'm thinking that I used to feel the same way when I was staked. While doing my morning run, I figured I'd rather play poker staked than work nine to five.

So the path for me now is to build up my bankroll with the pay I get from the call center. I am going to dual-boot my computer with windows 7 tonight after I get home, then install all the poker software--pokerstars client, pokertracker, autohotkey and the script I use to manage tables.

I am going to read up on the poker guide that I have somewhere in this blog. This time though, I am not going to get a custom domain. That expires, and when I feel like stopping for a while, I might lose the juice I get from SEO. I am going to keep the blogger subdomain and grow the content.

Will I be getting staked again? Definitely. I will need coaching down the road. Getting staked means I can work with other players to bounce off ideas on improving my game.

How far am I going to take it this time?

I also have the direct marketing business in the oven. There's also the fx trading biz. Two and two together and there's a niche site waiting to happen in the coming months. This site has aged enough to get good seo. I'll get enough traffic in here to get enough cash flow.

Let's see how it goes.

Online Poker in New Jersey?

Is it true? You can play online poker in New Jersey?

I just looked it up. Apparently, there are a few websites where you can play poker if you are physically located in NJ. I wonder when pokerstars is going to get in on that bandwagon.
